Meet the Characters of Raven's Birth

The characters in Raven’s Birth aren’t just players in a plot—they’re fragments of memory, emotion, and survival. They were born from sleepless nights, imagined worlds, and the desperate need to feel seen. Each one carries a piece of me, and each one helped shape the story that saved me.

This is a story of identity, transformation, and the fight to reclaim truth in a fractured future. From Lidia Raven, the survivor navigating memory loss and betrayal, to the crew of the Aurora who challenge, anchor, and unravel her—these characters are more than fictional. They’re real in the ways that matter most.

Let me introduce you to the souls behind the story. The ones who lived in my head, held my heart, and refused to let me quit.

The Protagonist: Lidia Raven

Operations Officer. Survivor. Truth-seeker. Born on Earth but always dreamed of the stars, Lidia served aboard the ASV Aurora when an accident erased nearly a decade of her life. Now, with her memories fractured and her body changed, she must uncover what was done to her—and why. Her journey is one of reclamation, resilience, and the fight to remember who she truly is.

The Commander: Mark Avery

Commander. Steady hand. Unspoken bond.   Originally from Mars, Avery was forced to relocate when terraforming failed. Now commanding the Aurora, he becomes more than just Lidia’s superior—he’s her guide through the fog of memory loss, and the quiet force behind her search for truth. Loyal, composed, and emotionally restrained, Avery leads his crew into the unknown for her sake.

The Rival: Cameron Carey

Weapons Officer. Loyal friend. Wounded heart.   Cameron is warm and welcoming when Lidia wakes—but beneath the surface lies jealousy and heartbreak. Secretly in love with Commander Avery, he struggles with Lidia’s growing closeness to him. When her powers manifest, Cameron recoils in fear, branding her a freak—until the unthinkable happens to him, and everything changes.

The Friend: James Doral

Security Officer. Old flame. Unshakable anchor.   Unknown to Lidia at first, James is her oldest friend and former lover. Watching her fall for another while she forgets their past is agony—but he never leaves her side. When her memories return, so does their bond. Engaged at last, James becomes her rock—the one person she can always turn to, no matter the storm.

The Enemy: Bishop and CRONOS

Mastermind. Manipulator. Ghost in the system.   Head of CRONOS and architect of the virus that altered Lidia to her core, Bishop is as mysterious as he is menacing. His presence lingers in shadows and data streams, a chilling reminder that some truths were never meant to be found.
